The Durco T4E Lined Plug Valve from FlowServe is a cost-effective, high-quality lined plug valve that as a result provides maximum corrosion resistance while eliminating potential product contamination. Available with both pneumatic and electric actuators, this valve is an ideal solution for the chemical industries and is available in the ANSI Class 300 and 150. Specifically, this valve is rated DIN Class PN16, and with a maximum temperature of 204°C, this Durco valve provides maximum corrosion resistance!

Solid Encapsulated PFA Molded Plug, all plug inserts have anchor holes making sure an adhesion that is strong of plug PFA liner material even under extreme cycling conditions

What exactly is a Durco T4E Lined Plug Valve?
Lined plug valves are valves with cylindrical or conically tapered "plugs" which can be rotated inside the valve body to control flow through the valve. The plugs in plug valves have one or more hollow passageways going sideways through the plug, and as a result, fluid can flow through the plug when the valve is open. For that reason, one large benefit of this design is that there is no disassembly required to restore seating. Lined plug valves can therefore be reseated with a quick and easy in-line adjustment. An open-end wrench and a few seconds are the extents of your maintenance requirements
Can a Durco T4E Lined Plug Valve be used as a control valve?
Surprisingly, a lined plug valve is a great option for precise proportioning as well as on/off control using slotted and V-port control plugs capable of a wide range of Cvs. Flowserve offers a complete range of Atomax Automation accessories including rack and pinion, heavy-duty, electric and linear actuators in addition to a comprehensive line of engineered special control circuits, solenoid valves, limit switches, positioners and actuators. In fact our technicians are will do all mounting and testing prior to releasing your automated package for shipment.
The Durco T4E Plug Valve use PFA lining and plugs. What is PFA?
PFA, or Perfluoroalkoxy, is a type of fluoropolymer. It has similar properties to Teflon which is a Dupont branded name for PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). What distinguishes it from the resins of PTFE is that PFA is melt processable. PFA is generally used in industry for it’s overall flexibility, and extreme resistance to chemical attack. PFA is used as lining in piping and valves handling critical or highly corrosive processes.
Can the Durco T4E Plug Valve be reseated if I experience through-line leakage?
Yes and best of all, no disassembly is required. In fact, an open wrench applied to the adjustment nut and a few seconds of time is the extent of maintenance required to reseat the valve. There are no seats to replace or piping to disconnect and as a result means less costly downtime, time-consuming maintenance procedures and/or unnecessary risk to operators. How can you tell if the internal sealing is leaking on my Durco valve?
This Durco valve has three weepholes plugged by screws on the bottom side of the valve. You have the option to remove the screws. In doing so one would be able to detect any leakage of process fluid through the liner and as a result be able to take appropriate action.
How is the lining affixed to the Durco T4E Lined Plug Valve?
The PFA valve body liner is well anchored to the body by means of machined T-slots. The plug substrate has anchor holes to ensure that the PFA liner material is securely attached to the plug.
