Temperature control steam traps can control the temperature of discharged condensate. Condensate with temperatures above the adjustable set temperature is held back in the piping, allowing the condensate energy to be used. The temperature control trap is useful for maintaining the fluidity of heavy oils etc preventing chemical or physical changes in the product.

Forbes Marshall
Forbe’s FMBM54 bimetallic steam traps are designed for draining high temperature and pressure steam lines. They are specially designed for HP steam, and have a reinforced stainless steel insert within the body.

Velan
Velan steam traps use a bimetal of high tensile strength, that are stable at a high temperature with deflection limited to 600°F (315°C). This is to prevent over-stressing in super-heated steam service.

Watson McDaniel
The WPN Series bi-metallic steam traps are used in steam tracing, steam main drips, non-critical process equipment, and can be used with superheated steam or outdoor applications that are subject to freezing.
